📢 Help for Yannik – A wheelchair-accessible car for greater participation! 🚐💙

Yannik is 4 years old. He was born a healthy child and developed wonderfully, laughing, playing, and enjoying life – just like any other child.

But when he was around 2 years old, everything changed.
Suddenly, he started having regular febrile seizures, which later turned out to be epileptic seizures. A doctor had a suspicion – and unfortunately she was right:
🧬 The diagnosis: Angelman syndrome with severe epilepsy.

At first, the epilepsy could be controlled well with medication. But on September 28, 2023, something happened that no one would ever have thought possible:
A severe epileptic seizure in which Yannik fell into a so-called nonconvulsive state – meaning that his brain “convulsed” continuously for many hours without any immediate external signs.

🧠 The result: massive brain damage.

Since then, nothing has been the same.
Yannik can no longer eat, sit, or move on his own.
He has a feeding tube, needs oxygen, is fed artificially, and requires round-the-clock care.

But what he hasn’t lost is his smile.
A smile that says more than a thousand words. A smile that gives hope.

✨ Yannik loves being outside—going for walks, visiting the zoo, going to the swimming pool, or simply being there when his big brother tells him stories or shows him Pokémon cards. 💛

And now that’s possible again – thanks to the AMF-Bruns Foundation, which funded the conversion of our family’s vehicle to make it accessible for people with disabilities.
🚐 Now we can go on trips together again. Be on the road together. Live together.

That means everything to us. 🙏💙
