Residual emptying system for dome silo

Scope of delivery and services

Delivery and commissioning of a residual emptying system for a dome silo, including the 27 meter long screw shaft, which was welded, X-rayed, transported and assembled on site. In addition, the project includes a gravimetric distribution system for uniform silo feeding and grain distribution as well as a dosing system to ensure a constant discharge for the downstream areas.

Location

The conveyor system is located in El Salvador.

News from El Salvador: we supplied a residual emptying system for a dome silo there. “The project made great progress and our colleagues on site did a fantastic job. We are satisfied,” says Dennis von Horn, Head of the Sugar Business Unit. “It was a particular challenge to weld, X-ray, transport and complete the 27-metre-long screw shaft on site. Our team also mastered this perfectly!”

In addition to this main component, AMF-Bruns also installed a gravimetric distribution system: on the one hand, this ensures uniform silo feeding and, on the other hand, uniform grain distribution within the silo. A dosing system was also included in the scope of delivery to ensure a constant discharge for the downstream areas. A well thought-out solution for our customer!
