Our Christmas party at our location in Romania

The Christmas season is a time when loneliness is particularly acute for many older people. To counteract this, AMF-Bruns Romania teamed up with the organization Anima Intelligentia on December 5, 2025, to organize a special Christmas party for single seniors from the region.

The initiative focused on giving older people a sense of closeness, community, and appreciation during the Christmas season. Around 10 invited guests and 7 employees from AMF-Bruns România gathered for a Christmas dinner at the festively decorated Styrcea Manor, located near our production site. The special atmosphere provided an opportunity for conversation, encounters, and personal moments away from everyday life. A choir performance and a visit from Santa Claus with small gifts also contributed to the festive mood.

A bridge between generations

Our employees actively participated in the celebration and took on a very special role: for one day, they became “temporary grandchildren.” They listened, exchanged stories, and spent valuable hours with the guests—an experience that will remain in the memories of both sides.

“For many of the elderly, the visit was like a return to childhood. For us young people, it was a lesson in life and living history,” sums up Nicolae Slavnea, General Manager at AMF-Bruns România.

We take responsibility

Social engagement in the regions where we operate is an integral part of our corporate culture. That is why AMF-Bruns supported the social and cultural initiative “Christmas with lonely elders – A Tale at Styrcea Manor” in order to also take on social responsibility at our location in Romania.

And that’s not all: our employees also benefited from this Christmas celebration, as it provided new impetus for intergenerational appreciation and empathy. About AMF-Bruns Romania
Since 2021, AMF-Bruns has had its own production facility in Roman, Romania. There, around 130 employees manufacture welded assemblies and steel components that are used in the conveyor systems and Hubmatik business areas. In 2024, the capacity of the plant was expanded once again with the addition of a further production area of approximately 2,500 m².

Plans are currently underway to build our own small factory in Romania. Here, we intend to manufacture steel and welded assemblies ourselves in the future, which AMF-Bruns has previously sourced mainly from suppliers in Germany and abroad. The advantages are obvious: by manufacturing these indispensable components ourselves, we will become less dependent on suppliers abroad, retain our know-how and expertise within the company, and become more competitive as we can save on external costs. This is another step toward securing the future of our company, which will also benefit our customers worldwide.

At our plant in Roman, around 100 employees manufacture products for the two business divisions, Conveyor Systems and vehicle conversion– and from now on, they will be doing so in a particularly resource-efficient manner!
